Honor and Memory Gifts

Honor friends, family or colleagues and impact the lives of seniors in your community with a tribute gift to Stilly Valley Center. If you are looking for information to include in an obituary regarding memorial gifts, you can refer to the following language: “In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Stilly Valley Center in memory of (name of loved one). Please have checks made payable to Stilly Valley Center and mail to: Stilly Valley Center, 18308 Smokey Point Blvd., Arlington, WA 98223. Please include a note stating that your gift is in memory of (name).” Consult your financial advisor to find out if your gift may be tax-deductible. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

In-Kind Gifts

In-Kind gifts such as donations to our auction, equipment or supplies, are appreciated where there is a specific need at the Center.

Stock Donations

We also accept donations in the form of stocks. Your gift of appreciated stock that has been held for more than one year will benefit the Stilly Valley Center and may save you capital gains taxes and provide a variety of other tax benefits. Legacy Giving

Making a difference to future generations.

Leaving a legacy gift to the center is one way you can help this place bring love, care, and meaning to thousands of individuals lives. Additionally, it is a great way to show your appreciation for the Center.

What is a Legacy Gift?

A legacy gift is a bequest — a gift included in your last will and testament. A bequest can be for a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, and/or a specific piece of property. Here is sample language you can use in your will:

Specific Bequest
“I bequeath to Stilly Valley Center $____ (or the description of an asset or ____ percent of my estate), for general support purposes.”. The Stilly Valley Center is a Washington Non-profit Corporation, which is a 501(c)(3) charity for the Federal Tax purposes, Federal tax ID#23-708-7247.

Residuary Bequest
“I bequeath the remainder of my estate (or ___ percent of my estate), both real estate and tangible personal property, to the Stilly Valley Center.” The Stilly Valley Center is a Washington Non-profit Corporation, which is a 501(c)(3) charity for the Federal Tax purposes, Federal tax ID#23-708-7247.

Contingent Bequest
“I bequeath the remainder of my estate (or ___ percent of my estate), both real estate and tangible personal property, to the Stilly Valley Center. The Stilly Valley Center is a Washington Non-profit Corporation, which is a 501(c)(3) charity for the Federal Tax purposes, Federal tax ID#23-708-7247.

All gifts of property are subject to approval of the Stilly Valley Center Board of Directors’ Gift Acceptance Policy.

Teach a class on your favorite subject, host a trip, lead a band, the opportunities are endless. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities of all sizes at the Stilly Valley Center.

Donate To Our Thrift Store

Give your unwanted clothing or household items to our Thrift Store. 100% of the profits go to the Senior Center. This tax-deductible contribution will not only support your community but de-clutter your home as well. Recycling at its very best!
